Internet Tummy Ache

Well, I guess my last post which I apologized and said it wouldn't happen again, turned out to be a little bit more than I could stick to as an agreement, huh? Turns out, for the past three weeks, I've been EXTREMELY busy and haven't had much time to sketch for myself OR for my little girl, which breaks my heart more than not being able to sketch for myself.
The following three sketches are some thing that I've been working on, however few minutes that I have to work on them in a day, or have already done them in the past. They're not old by an ungodly amount of time, by any means, but they were sketched and drawn within the timeframe of this blog, which has only been a few months, so not too old.
Enjoy what you see, and feel free to leave some constructive criticisms for yours truly, as all of my personal criticisms are neither true or constructive.
Thanks.

Ed!
Great to see you back indeed... My own "Web" Vacation is coming to a close as well soon.

I love the first drawing, but I HATE the colors on the Oompa...

The first drawing does still have some of the tangent/clutter issues we've discussed, and could really be improved by pulling the limbs apart more so that they can read better in silhouette, however the actual detail and rendering of the drawing is outstanding.

The color on the Oompa is more complicated, but start by GETTING RID OF THE BLACK in the BG! That will get you going into the right direction a lot quicker. Also play to the brown on his belly when it comes to making the temperature of the colors work more naturally.

Great job as always!

thanks guys, all of this busyness and no time for anything is beginning to take its toll on my heart and soul, more than anything else. So, I leave it up to people like you fine folks to help me get my mind off of things and to help me reconnect with myself and what I really am inside.
Now, Erica, thanks for the votes of confidence and the threats, they help. I hope you and Bradley enjoy the Doctor Fusion sketch I worked out for you guys. For those of you looking to see it, The link is:
http://stockholmvonpowerhousen.blogspot.com/
and I highly recommend that you guys check it out.

Jim, as always, the illuminator of my darkest artistic bad habits. and my tangents are out of whack, but what are you gonna do? That leprechun was a product of frustration and a need to work out my pencil more than anything else.
And the black background for the Oompa is because of the way I saved out the Photoshop file. (Word to the wise: Always flatten your files before you save them out into a different format! It gets rid of the transparency and saves you the heartache of having your friends give you shit about it!)
I've fixed the image, and uploaded the files again, unfortunately in a different order. Get over it.
Thanks guys!

You know who MF Doom is right? He's Master Chef from Wu Tang Clan. I've got a few more of his CD's, should the mood strike you. I'd also encourage you to listen to Pharrell's new CD, its very '70's pimpish.
I'm glad to see mom got back home safe. Hope you guys had a good few days alone, as well.

Well, the reason for that is there're things in the works, big brother. I would love, LOVE to post some of the sketches of HM I've done recently, or another secret, SECRETY secret I'm working on, but alas. I don't want to lose HM or anyone else from Gudenberg to the forces of plagurism, nor do I want to tip my hand on my secrety secret. Rest assured though, you personally will see them soon enough, and will enjoy seeing them as much I did making them.
I'm still working on a few other sketches that will be posted next time, that are really going to appeal to people. At least, I hope they do.
Maybe I shouldn't generalize.
Okay, some people will like them, other will just go, eh, its okay.

Holy Crap! Not Oly do I get comments from Alina Chau, another amazing illustrator, but ALSO from Corbett Vanoni, a man whose Blog I've learned an incredible amount about digital illustration and charicaturing from!
If you guys want to see TRUE talent, then I advise checking out BOTH of their Blogs! and I truly thank them for their comments and critiques! There are more illustrations on the way, I've just been INSANELY busy.
